Here's Clares tutorial.
Here is a step by step guide on how to make a layered paper and acetate flower.
First choose your papers or card. I did some brayering onto some white cardstock using a Big and Juice ink pad. Die cut or punch out your flowers.
Next use Stazon ink to stamp onto your acetate. I used a script background stamp which was designed by Sheena Douglas. Die cut or punch out your flowers.
Work on a heat resistant surface and use a tweezers or poky tool to hold the acetate flower. Gently heat the flower and as it heats it begins to distort and crinkle up. You can also manipulate it further while it is warm using your tweezers to get the shape you desire.
I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix die called ‘Tattered Flowers’ which has 2 sizes of flowers which can be layered up and attached together as you wish. My paper and acetate flowers are attached together with a gem brad.
You lot are such a creative bunch I am sure you could take this even further. What about colouring the acetate or just layering up the acetate to make a flower. Hope to see some on your cards or project soon!!
Thank you Clare!
